Results from the Cooking with Rhubarb Competition at the 2017 Linn County Fair:

CATEGORIES:
A) Bring it in a jar: includes jams, jellies, and sauces

1st place Rhubarb Sauce

  • 1st place – Barbara Tjarks – Marion: Rhubarb Sauce
  • 2nd place – Carol Hatch  – Center Point: Bluebarb Jam

B) Bring it in a pan: includes pies, crisps, bars, etc.

1st place Rhubarb pie

  • 1st place – Sally Emery – Marion: Rhubarb pie
  • 2nd place – Carol Hatch – Center Point: Rhubarb Cheesecake Bars
  • 3rd place – Barbara Tjarks – Marion -Rhubarb Heaven

C) Beverage (excluding wine, that should be entered into the open wine making
competition)

D) Other: anything that doesn’t fall in the other three categories
