The Linn County Fair Association is proud to announce the 2017 Linn County Fair Queen candidates:
Alexis Costello is the daughter of Tim and Karen Costello of Cedar Rapids. Alexis will be studying at Mt. Mercy University this fall and plans to double major in Criminal Justice and Accounting.
Kiera Dixon is the daughter of Michael and Karen Dixon of Walker. Kiera will be attending Central College this fall.
Grace Pisarik is the daughter of Steve and Susan Pisarik of Mount Vernon. Grace will be a senior at Mount Vernon High School this fall. Graces’s future plans are to attend a 4 year college and pursue a career in the medical field.
Delaney Sturtz is the daughter of Michelle Tegeier of Cedar Rapids. Delaney will be a senior at Alburnett High School this fall. Delaney’s future plans involve a career in animal science.
The reigning 2016 Linn County Fair Queen, Makenna Blackford and Princess, Rachel Zumbach will be handing off their titles and crowning the newest royalty at The 2017 Linn County Fair opening ceremonies on June 28 at 6 p.m.
The 2016 Linn County Fair Queen is Makenna Blackford is the daughter of the Dawn and the late Scott Blackford of Marion. Makenna will be a Senior at Alburnett High School this fall. Makenna’s future plans are to attend Iowa State University
The 2016 Linn County Fair Princess Rachel Zumbach is the daughter of Louie and Deb Zumbach of Coggon. Rachel will be a attending Iowa State University this fall, and is undecided on her major at this point.
The judging for the contest will be on June 4 at the Linn County Fairgrounds in the Lynn Dunn Memorial Building. The public is welcome to join us to meet the candidates and enjoy light refreshments at 6 p.m.
The coronation will be Wednesday June 28 at 6 p.m. at the Linn County Fairgrounds, in the grandstand.
