The Linn County Fair Association is proud to announce the 2016 Linn County Fair Royalty, Makenna Blackford – Fair Queen, and Rachel Zumbach – Fair Princess. They were crowned on Wednesday, June 22nd during the opening program at The Linn County Fair in Central City. Jessica Etten was also awarded the Leadership Award during the ceremony.

Our 2016 Linn County Fair Queen Makenna Blackford will compete in the Iowa State Fair Queen Competition, August 9th-August 13th. On August 13th at 7:00 pm at the Iowa State Fair grounds on the Bill Riley Stage the new 2016 Iowa State Fair Queen will be crowned. Come and cheer on our new 2016 Linn County Fair Queen!

Makenna Blackford is the daughter of Scott and Dawn Blackford of Marion. Makenna will be a Junior at Alburnett High School this fall. Makenna’s future plans are to attend Iowa State University

Rachel Zumbach is the daughter of Louie and Deb Zumbach of Coggon. Rachel will be a senior next year at North Linn High School. Rachel plans to attend a four year university and is undecided on a major at this point.

Jessica K. Etten from Praririeburg. She is the daughter of Sandra & Brian Meyer and the late Russell Etten. Jessica will be attending Kirkwood in the fall and pursing her passion for nursing. She plans on receiving her RN and then continuing on to get her BSN and a university.
