The Linn County Fair Association is now accepting applications for the 2016 Little Mr. and Miss Linn County Fair Contest. Working to involve the youth of The Linn County Fair, the Little Mr. and Miss Contest provides the contestants the chance to get further involved with the fair as well as meet and bond with peers in the same age group.
The Little Mr. and Miss Linn County Fair Contest is open to boys and girls who have completed Kindergarten through third grade, who reside in Linn County, and have been involved in the fair in some way. Such involvement may include, but is not limited to, clover kids, the Kiddee Tractor Pull, the Kiddee Calf Show, and/or Bucket Bottle Lamb. The responsibilities of winners include representing the fair during fair week by handing out ribbons and awards at various shows as well as participating in various events throughout the following year.
To enter this contest, contestants must be eligible in accordance with the provided rules as well as fill out and turn in the application form and coloring page to Brandy Meisheid no later than June 1, 2016. Contestants must also attend judging on June 22, 2016 at allotted time at the Linn County Fairgrounds Grandstand. The 2016 Little Mr. and Miss Linn County Fair will be announced and crowned Wednesday, June 22 at the Linn County Fair Opening Program in the grandstand.
Applications are to be postmarked no later than June 1, 2016 and can be mailed the below address.

Lilyann Wittenburg, Little Miss Lilyann Wittenburg is a kindergartener who dreams of becoming an artist when she grows up. Lilyann is a good friend because she says nice things to her friends and takes turns when playing. Her favorite things at The Linn County Fair include the carriage races, food livestock shows and the rides.
Tucker Klima, Little Mr. Tucker Klima is a 2nd grader who wants to be a football player when he grows up. He is a good friend because he is kind and caring. Tucker’s favorite things about The Linn County Fair are the pig races and the tractor pull.
