2015 Wine Competition Results

The Wine Competition was held on Saturday, June 27th in the Lynn Dunn Memorial Building as part of the Homebrew competition. Contestants brought their home brewed wine to see how they their skills rate. The wines were judged on sight, smell, taste, finish and overall.

  • Best of show 1st Finalist – Chad Steffen from Marion.  Country Wine Strawberry.
  • Best of show 2nd Finalist – Ron Waite from Anamosa.  Country Wine Fruit Red Sweet Aronia/Frontenac.

  • Dry Red Marquette – Sabrina Awe from Ainsworth
  • Semi Sweet Blush 50/50 Concord Pepin – Laddie Nachazel from Central City
  • Dry Red Petite Pearl – Terry Jackson from Mt. Vernon
  • Dry Red Petite Pearl – Dean Awe from Ainsworth
  • Dry White Vignoles – Sabrina Awe from Ainsworth
  • Dry White St. Pepin – Cheryl Jackson from Mt. Vernon
  • Semi-Sweet White – Laddie Nachazel from Central City
