People young and old came out to see how they compete against others in eating blueberry pie. The Pie Eating Contest was held on Saturday, June 27th at 3pm in the Farm Bureau Free Entertainment Tent at the Linn County Fairgrounds.
Each participant had to eat a blueberry pie as fast as they could without using their hands. They had 10 minutes to eat it and the first person that finished their pie or had the most eaten at 10 minutes, was the winner. The winner of the adult class received a $20 gift card to Main Street Market in Coggon and second place received a blueberry pie. The child class winner received a $15 gift card to the Main Street Market in Coggon and second place received a blueberry pie.
This was a fun new contest that was added this year and we hope to have it back again next year, maybe even with a different type of pie.
Special thanks to Main Street Market in Coggon for sponsoring this contest.
