2015 4-H Static Results

Linn County Fair Family & Consumer Science; Creative Arts; Agriculture and Natural Resources; Personal Development; and Science, Engineering & Technology State Fair Winners Announced

4-H and FFA Family and Consumer Science, Visual Arts, Personal Development and Science, Agriculture and Engineering exhibits were evaluated on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at the Linn County Fair.  These exhibits cover a wide range of topics including food and nutrition, personal development, welding, visual arts and citizenship.  The exhibits chosen will be displayed at the Iowa State Fair in August.

2015 Linn County Fair 4-H Miscellaneous Pet Show

The Linn County 4-H miscellaneous pet show was held on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at the Linn County Fairgrounds.  The miscellaneous pet show gives youth a chance to share their knowledge and skill in working with a wide variety of pets including fish, reptiles, hobby goats and llamas.

2015 Linn County Fair Cat Show Results

The Linn County 4-H Cat show was held on Thursday, June 25, at the Linn County Fairgrounds.   4-H youth who enrolled in the cat project in the fall took advantage of this opportunity to exhibit their animals and to demonstrate what they have learned for the judge.

Goat Milking Contest Results

One of the new contest this year at The Linn County Fair was the Goat Milking Contest that was held on Friday, June 26th at 3pm in the Farm Bureau Free Entertainment Tent. Teams of 3 had 45 seconds to milk as much as they can from a goat. Each team member milked for 15 seconds and then switched positions. There was a total of 14 teams that participated in the contest. Teams were also judged on best dressed and were encouraged to come in costumes. This new contest was a huge hit and there are high hopes it will be back again next year!
