Golden Ticket Scavenger Hunt

In celebration of our 125th anniversary, The Linn County Fair Association is conducting a GOLDEN TICKET SCAVENGER HUNT.  Hidden in the parks and preserves throughout Linn County and the metro area of Cedar Rapids are 125 plastic eggs. Inside each egg is a GOLDEN TICKET  that is redeemable for two free tickets to the grandstand event of your choice during the Linn County Fair which will be held in Central City from June 26 thru July 1, 2013.

The individual that finds the Golden Ticket will have their choice between the following events: Alien Ant Farm Concert, Tracy Lawrence Concert, Rodeo, Truck & Tractor Pull, Donkey Races, Chuckwagon Races, and Harness Racing.

The locations where the eggs are hidden are posted on the fair’s website http://thelinncountyfair.com/golden-ticket.html.Once you find the Golden Ticket you must fill out the form online and then keep the ticket and redeem it at the fair’s grandstand ticket booth to claim your free pair of tickets. As the Golden Tickets are claimed, they will be marked on the website. The tickets can be claimed online up until the first day of the fair, June 26.

Several Golden Tickets have already been found and we have discovered a few may have been swept away by high flood waters. Once the eggs have been confirmed “lost” due to high flood waters it will be noted on the website.

For any remaining eggs not found as of June 12, the GPS coordinates will be added to the website. The eggs are hidden in grassy areas, trees, rocks, playgrounds, etc, in the many parks and reserves. Several eggs have also been hidden around our Golden Ticket partner Thomas L. Cardella & Associates’s location at Westdale Mall across from Menards.

Here is a great opportunity for you to explore the parks and preserves of Linn County and win tickets to a grandstand event of their choice to The Linn County Fair in celebration of our 125th anniversary. For questions please contact Heidi Steffen at  info@thelinncountyfair.com or 319-350-5569.
