Tablescaping, the art of arranging tables to create a mood from ordinary to extraordinary, made its debut appearance as another new competition at the Linn County Fair on Saturday, June 30, 2012. Contestants used the 2’ x 4’ table provided for them and by adding their own plates, stemware, flatware, centerpiece, etc created a decorative tablescape.
Contestants picked their own theme and decorate the table accordingly, including a menu. Fresh flowers, unlit candles, and other table decorations were allowed, but no food or perishable items. The tablescapes was judged on aesthetic value, functionality, and creativity.
Winner of the Tablescaping Contest was Morgan Berns and second place was Janna McCally.
