Results of Linn County Fair Horse & Pony Show

4-H’ers competed in the Horse/Pony show on Monday, July 11, at the Linn County Fair.  Those winning are as follows:

Grand Champion Halter Pony Award:  Josh Kettelkamp, Marion showing Elmo .

Reserve Halter Champion Pony Award:  Callyn Fox, Center Point showing Zips Black Tie

Grand Champion Halter Horse Award:  Sierra Dougherty, Coggon showing Breezy

Reserve Champion Halter Horse Award:   Cass Fox, Center Point showing One Hot Hunk.

High Point Pleasure Award for a 4-H’er showing a pony 8th grade and below went to Jacque Murray, Ely riding Sunruler

Reserve High Point Pleasure Award  for a 4-H’er showing a pony 8th grade and below went to Callyn Fox, Center Point riding Zips Black Tie.

High Point Pleasure Award for a 4-H’er showing a pony 9th grade and above went to Josh Kettelkamp, Marion riding Elmo.


High Point Pleasure Award for a 4-H’er showing a horse 8th grade and below was a tie and went to Jacque Murray, Ely riding Nick and Sara-Anne Kettelkamp, Marion riding Faith.

Reserve High Point Pleasure Award for a 4-H’er showing a horse 8th grade and under went to Sierra Dougherty, Coggon riding Bailey.

High Point Pleasure Award for a 4-H’er showing a horse 9th grade and above went to Josie Caspers, Central City riding Buddy.

Reserve High Point Pleasure Award for a 4-H’er showing a horse 9th grade and above went to JaNeal Horning Marion riding Comet.

The Lynn Dunn Memorial Walk/Trot Award went to Meghan Wilkinson, Fairfax riding Little Ed .

  1. Hi I’m from Kentucky and am starting the Appalachian Horse Center,(nonprofit), and one thing we will be offering is a place for Eastern KY Kids to use for their 4-H Horse Activities.. I need a high resolution photo of a 4-H activity and the picture on this site would work, it is the one second from the top of the little girl in a white cowboy hat with her red ribbon and black pony.
    Would you give me permission to use this for a brochure which promotes the Center to the public?

    • We tried to find the girl in the picture to see if we could get their permission to use their photo in your brochure, but we were not able to locate them. Sorry
