Are you ready to “CATCH FAIR FEVER” because it is RED HOT! If you like homemade “hot” stuff then you are going to like the Homemade Salsa Competition that is open to all ages! There are three categories: Mild, Hot, and Fruit Salsa. Prizes will be awarded to the winners and the public will be invited to taste the entries and vote for their favorite.

Entries received Saturday, July 9, 2011 between 10 am – noon
Judging begins at 12:30 pm.
Division I – Mild Salsa
Division II – Hot Salsa
Division II – Fruit Salsa
- Each entry must be in a one pint glass jar with a screw-on lid
- No labels on the jar.
- One entry per division per person. (One mild, one hot, and one fruit salsa)
- Salsa will be judged on
- taste/after taste
- appropriate heat level
- Public is invited to taste and vote for their favorite after the judging is completed.
- Voting will close at 2:30 pm.
- Winners announced at 3 pm.
Salsa will be judged by a qualified panel of judges in the following categories Hot, Mild, and Fruit. A qualified panel of judges will judge entries equally based on the following criteria: aroma, consistency, color, appropriate heat level, taste and after-taste.
