If you were one that was looking forward to the Father’s Day Harness Races, I have another opportunity to take your father to a harness race on Monday, July 13th at 6:30pm at The Linn County Fair in Central City. The Linn County Fair Association is proud to say we have one of the largest fair harness race crowds in Iowa. The fair harness race always brings a good family oriented crowd.
Not only do you get to watch the races but you also get to have a little fun at the same time. When you walk into the grandstand you wil get a list of the races (while supplies last- they run out so get there early) that you are able to guess who will win each race. Before each race starts you fill out that race slip and then the announcer and helpers come to collect them. Then after each race they draw one of the correct guess and prizes, sometimes cash, is handed out. It is fun to see how good you are at determining which horse will be the first one to cross the finish line.
Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for kids 12 to 6 with kids 5 and under FREE. For more ticket information go to www.thelinncountyfair.com.
